The RAYS CD and Manual is a classroom sun safety/skin cancer awareness program that has evolved over a period of four years. Through trial, error and testing, we decided the most effective combination of slides and hands-on activities. Our material has been created to be adapted to any situation. There is a silent version for those who like to speak from slides. For health fair table presentations, we’ve included a silent version that is looped. Teachers may opt to have students listen to the presentation at a kiosk by activating the sound, or by giving the presentation herself by using the script. For a full day of presentations in which quick adaptations have to be made, we have 35mm slides that are available. Also included are hands-on reinforcement activities for every level that embrace math, reading, measuring and analytical skills.
