Welcome to the RAYS PROJECT Site! Raising Awareness about Your Skin is the goal of the RAYS’ Project. Since 80% of the damage to the skin happens before the age of 18, sun safety and skin cancer awareness has become a classroom ‘must’. Each link within our site represents material that we have found helpful in our own classroom efforts: hopefully they will enrich your curriculums as well. We are also introducing our own original CD and manual for classroom presentations. Plan to preview our four levels of materials that are jam packed with hands-on activities, a pre- and post-test, study guide, teachers’ notes, a risk survey plus our award winning RAYS CD. Proceeds from the sale of our materials are ear-marked to support educational projects or programs dealing with sun safety/skin cancer awareness. We welcome your ideas and suggestions: please feel free to contact us! It is our hope that sun safety/skin cancer education will become an integral part of all school curriculums and that this web site will be used to further that end.
